The Robert Ford Electric Company was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1976. Its main 8,500 square foot office is located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The company also maintains a presence in Longport, New Jersey; Ardmore, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia.

Robert Ford Electric Company was a spin off from a family company that was in business for 45 years. Robert Ford, who worked as a partner in the family firm for 17 years, brought with him the high standards, morals, integrity and ethics that were practiced by the parent company for those many years. He committed Robert Ford Electric Company to provide the same quality and performance for his company's customers --- building trust and mutual respect. All of the organization's people are dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality workmanship, materials, equipment and service.

The Company is a signatory with IBEW Local Union 98. Although our efforts have been concentrated in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas, we have worked in 13 different states. In design-build or value-engineering, location is not a deterrent. There are 9 project superintendents on staff with a longevity from 5 years to 23 years.

We at Robert Ford Electric Company have maintained our relationships with the two same banks since incorporation. We are rated 3A1 with Dun & Bradstreet and are members of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), the Institute of Electrical and Electric Engineering (IEEE), the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), the National Council of Engineers and Surveyors (NCES), the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and the Society of American Value Engineering (SAVE).
